Information for presenters
We will have 13 parallel sessions in each programme slot for such sessions. The parallel sessions will consist of 3 to 5 presentations, with a large majority of them having 4 presentations.
Below you can find a number of guidelines for the parallel sessions:
- In a session with 4 presentations, each presenter has a total of 22 minutes – sessions with 3 or 5 presentations allocate 30 or 18 minutes respectively. We advise preparing a presentation of +/- 15 minutes, leaving time for a Q&A with the audience. The longer you present, the less time you have for feedback from fellow scholars.
- Each session room is equipped with a fixed PC and beamer, so there is no need to bring your laptop. Presentations should be transferred on the PCs via a USB stick.
- In each session, one of the presenters is appointed as the session chair. Their role is primarily that of timekeeper. Chairs of Open Special Subtracks (OSS) may organize their sessions differently from the format described above and will communicate directly with their presenters if this is the case.
- We will have a volunteer present in each room at all times to support the chair and facilitate the transfer of presentations on the PCs.
